  1. Version 2.07 - major changes:
  2.  
  3.    Several changes have been made to the VIRSTOP program, and
  4.    corresponding command-line switches have been added.  See the
  5.    VIRSTOP.DOC file for further information.
  6.  
  7. Version 2.07 - the following problems were found and corrected.
  8.  
  9.    Version 2.06 would not always identify Stoned.NoInt accurately, but
  10.    occasionally as "New or modified variant of Stoned", and refuse to
  11.    disinfect it.
  12.  
  13.    A few minor false positives were corrected:
  14.  
  15.         "Uruguay" in a special version of COMMAND.COM, which is included on
  16.         IBM PS/2 model 80 diagnostic diskettes, and a few other rare
  17.         programs as well.
  18.  
  19.      "Possibly a new variant of Darth Vader" in a Chinese character
  20.     set program named HANVGA.COM
  21.  
  22.     "Power Pump (1)" in some compiled batch files.
  23.  
  24.    If the command "FDISK /MBR" was used to clean a Stoned-infected MBR,
  25.    F-PROT 2.06 and before might consider the MBR infected with a "new
  26.    variant of Stoned", as the virus was only partially overwritten.

  28. Version 2.07 - minor improvements:
  29.  
  30.    The program should now be able to recognize HPFS volumes without
  31.    problems, but previously boot-sector scanning had to be disabled
  32.    when scanning them.
  33.  
  34.    The program now recognizes SuperStore-compressed volumes as regular
  35.    hard disks, so it is no longer necessary to specify the drive letter.
  36.  
  37. Version 2.07 - new viruses:

  39.    The following 11 new viruses can now be detected but not removed,
  40.    only deleted.  This is because they overwrite infected files, or
  41.    damage them irreversibly.
